Removing Built-in Wall Oven Cabinet Allows Functionality

Our client in Richmond, TX needed repairs to their kitchen ceiling due to a leak from the air condition line above, so they realized it was a perfect time to also update this room. On this page, see pictures of their previous wall oven built into a cabinet, which featured too prominently. Removing this built-in wall oven cabinet allowed more functionality. The picture below that shows the wall opening over the kitchen sink that was filled in, allowed more space for cabinets. Listen to Gale tell of the job we did for them.

Step # 1 -  Remove old wall oven cabinet & replace with new upper & lower cabinets to allow for a granite couter top for more work space

Step #2 - Replace old venthood with a stainless, sleek model allowing an additional cabinet to be constructed above it

Step#3 - Fill in wall opening over dishwasher to construct solid wall allowing for newly built upper cabinets

Richmond and Rosenberg are old cities that have each expanded considerably. Rosenberg is now a metropolis, so the residents no longer need to travel to Sugar Land or Houston for shopping or dining.

Richmond became the county seat to Fort Bend County. The town's population doubled from 1920 to 1940. Beginning in the late 1940s people began moving to the Richmond-Rosenberg area to commute to jobs in Houston, and the trend intensified during and after the 1950s.

Fort Bend County is a county located along the Gulf Coast region in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, its population was 585,375, amounting to 65.1% growth in ten years.Since the 1970s Fort Bend County has been one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. It is named for a blockhouse at a bend of the Brazos River; the fort was the start of the community in early days. Its county seat is Richmond, while its largest city is Sugar Land. It was founded in 1837.

"Our major remodeling project was updating our kitchen with granite counter tops, a coordinated backsplash, a new range hood, and replacing an electric cooktop with a gas model. Manuel's crew worked efficiently and with very little clutter to work around...."
